While volunteering for the Isle of Eigg Heritage Trust, accommodation is provided in Tigh Corraraigh, a semi detached house situated in Cleadale on the northwest side of the island approx 4 miles from the pier.
It is your responsibility to provide your own bedding. Please bring a bottom sheet, sleeping bag and pillow case.
Amenities include 1 bathroom, 1 lavatory, large social and cooking space, washing machine, fridge, electric kettle, toaster and a 4 burner gas cooker, grill and oven. The accommodation is fairly well equipped with most utensils, pots, pans, cutlery and crockery. Tigh Corraraigh has 3 bedrooms in total. One room is reserved for the SWT Ranger, leaving 2 rooms available for volunteer use. Each volunteer room has one bunk bed and a single bed in each room. The accommodation is shared between Isle of Eigg Heritage Trust and Scottish Wildlife Trust volunteers, usually three volunteers for each organisation at any one time. We will make every effort to have separate male and female rooms but at times you may have to share a mixed sex room.
The Isle of Eigg Heritage Trust provides washing up liquid, bin bags, toilet roll, tea and coffee. It is your responsibility to provide your own food, washing powder and bedding.
